Hi there. I'm CubeRoot, Game master extraordinaire. I'll be your guide through the treacherous waters of the faction lands. I'll tell you a little about the history before diving into the story. Okay? Buckle up, it'll be one hell of a ride.
Amanda Hope was a troubled teenager, living in the slums of Hamletville with her mother, she thought she would never become anything. One day she woke up to find the apple she'd left in the kitchen transfigured to a rock. She sent it of to be analyzed and cut, and in return she received an emerald cut Moonstone. This was her time to shine. She left the house, not knowing anything about her powers, but determined to make a difference. She travelled for a few years before settling in a small house in the suburbs of sunset valley and beginning her project of setting up a witches school in town. She accumulated a small fortune - just enough to buy a larger lot and begin building the house of her dreams. It was then that she met Delfine. Delfine the young but powerful witch. She taught Delfine everything she knew, and learned some things in the process. Eventually, two more witches showed up at her door and she took them in. The Faction of Earth was formed.
Finlay Black was a handsome young man. He'd never had issues with picking up girls and always had a few friends to spare. After graduation however, he went looking for an extra kick, and he found it in the form of a bite and transformation into a creature of the night. He used his new found powers to steal and pillage his way through the countryside and he settled with his wealth in a corner of Sunset Valley. Slowly turning citizens into his minions. He struck a deal with a dying Sister, and she gave him eternal immortality in return for a year's peace between the witches and vampires. The Faction of Night was formed.
Dana and Rodrick Safon were born amongst a large fae community out in the mountains. Their love broke tradition, so they were forced to flee. They fled to a group of outcasts that had settled near Sunset Valley. Both came from powerful families and had inherited those characteristics and charisma, and they quickly rose through the ranks of the group, taking charge and settling the colony for good. The Faction of Sky was formed.
Each faction took over a part of town, with only the central park being neutral ground. Since their arrival, they've all fought for sole control of the city's underground. Battle is in their blood, conflict is their language. Sky, Earth and Night battle without repose to this day, and for many years more.
So. Now that our dear friends and their histories have been introduced, I hope you'll want to know where they go, because, my friends, I sense the winds of change, and they do too. They do too.
